Saturday Thrift

As you probably know,  we spent this past weekend installing wood floors. My arms are so sore right now I can barely type.

Anyway, that did not get in my way of hitting up the FIRC (local thrift store).

On Saturday, Matt sent me to to pick up some adhesive at the hardware store. Another bucket of glue was needed. He warned me before I left that time was of the essence. "No FIRC-ing around. I am serious."

WHATEVER!!

I did manage to run by there later. HA!

Here is what I found. Oh and it was half off day!  I love half off day.

I got this cute little glass dome with a sweet mouse sitting right on top for $1.  They threw in the bowl that it is sitting on for free(bowls are usually 49 cents).

The bowl had a stamp on the bottom so I googled it and it dates to between 1880-1896 (according to the internets).

I also found this dilly-ma-bop that had a $12.99 price tag on it. I am going to hang it on my front door with this madras plaid ribbon I found. It will hold flowers or something. Very cute. Total for both = $1.

Found some glassware. Wine glasses are always needed.  All very thick glass. Little pitcher could make a cute vase.

Scored a brand new french coffee press. I used to have one years ago. Makes really good coffee.

Finally, I got these capris.  The FIRC has a section with brand new clothes. Cute huh?

I am off to stain. No more FIRC-ing around.
