The leading male dorky but sexy actors of the millennium are very different from the 80's sexy but dorky leading males - maybe I'm biased but I want to share my angst either way.

The portrayal of outlaws, misfits, cool dudes or preppy mishaps with snotty attitudes seemed more genuine and multi-dimensional in the 80's. The male actors of today seem like one glob of jello, there is a lot less variety. There seems to be a plethora of one dimensional quirky dudes with not much depth. Am I missing something?
