Future is so bright ...I might as well lose weight?

Fashion this season is a burst of primary colors like orange, fuschia and very berry or prim green or kissable red. Stay Tuned for our favorite lingerie picks for Spring.
Either way, one of my favorite models Crystal Renn, (aka used to be plus size model) is now a smaller version and personally I prefer her full figured but I am not one to throw negative comments.
It seems the fashion industry prefers her thin as well which is sad because you think by now we would love, appreciate, celebrate and admire all shapes and sizes.
I am still happy for Ms. Renn as I was in Does Size Really Matter.
I prefer Crystal this way instead but you decide.

The lingerie event of the year recently occurred when the Seven Bar Foundation hosted Lingerie New York 2010 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event, which raised $500,000 for philanthropic causes, featured the works of Carine Gilson and Atsuko Kudo in a spectacular runway show. Carine Gilson was celebrating the 20th anniversary of her eponymous luxury lingerie label with her signature silk and lace designs. She unveiled her latest collection that included a few shimmery ivory pieces that we are eager to see more of. Also featured was the work of Japanese couture latex lingerie designer Atsuko Kudo. Model Veronica Webb modeled the buzz-worthy Space Lace illuminated LED-light corset designed by Dara Young for the Hennessy Black Moment of the show. Other models at the event included Elsa Benitez, Crystal Renn, and Liya Kebede.
We hear that perhaps the next Seven Bar lingerie/charity event will take place in Los Angeles, and we will certainly make sure to be in attendance!
If you are unfamiliar with the Seven Bar Foundation, it is a charitable organization that offers microfinancing to women in underprivileged countries. You can learn more about their cause here.

This is What 'Plus-Size' Looks Like (for a Model)

images via here
We were at the bookstore the other night and noticed Crystal Renn's new book entitled Hungry. We've posted on Crystal before, and thought we'd dig up a few more lingerie images of her to share with you. Along the way we discovered a few lovely pictures of fellow "plus-size" model Whitney Thompson, whose claim to fame is having won cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model. We love that top image of her, with just a bit of trim from her bra peeking out of her top!
It seems that every now and then a top fashion magazine will celebrate the plus-size form, and just recently we heard that Glamour magazine is going to regularly feature these lovely curves! It is refreshing to see a beautiful photograph of a model wearing lingerie and not feel bad about your own figure.
