Transratfashion by Brody and Paetau

Transratfashion custom-made fashion accessories. 5 pieces of fake Chanel fashion accessories made out of taxidermised rats: a rat-bra, a rat-slip, a rat-handbag, a rat-handkerchief and a pair of high heel rat-shoes. The interview at VICE: quote [Kristofer Paetau and Ondrej Brody's TransRatFashion first appeared in our Tidbits section, but we figured only a fairly unique pair of minds would want to spend their time creating fake Chanel bikinis from rat bodies and have them modeled by Brazilian transvestites who then masturbate on them].

Mariel Clayton: Doll Photographer

Mariel Clayton a Doll Photographer with a subversive sense of humour.

quote [I can't explain how my mind works, or why these ideas come to it. It started out with a camera and a major interest in travel photography, but a sublime encounter in a Tokyo toy shop led me into the surreal world of Japanese miniatures, and ultimately to the stories that could be told with them. Since I started working with dolls, I have grown more and more to appreciate what can be done with them, how the smallest gesture or placement seems to convey volumes. Also, I happen to think it's a damn funny medium].

Cameramail

Cameramail quote [I got the idea to send a camera through the mail from Kyle Van Horn (and he got it from P22) and decided to try it myself! The first camera traveled from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Honolulu, Hawaii, collecting a total of seven pictures on its way. I couldn't have hoped for a better set of photos! The Postal Service sure does move fast. I ended up trying three more cameramail packages to Washington, to Japan, and to Masschusetts (all three when I was living in Hawaii) but never heard back].
